We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. Data may be stored on secure servers and access is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Product data handling

Browser drafts
Some record and label forms keep a convenience draft in this browser so an interrupted entry can be restored. Drafts are scoped to the signed-in user, business, location and login session; they expire after seven days. Signing out clears Check & Chop drafts from that browser. A browser draft is not a submitted record or approval.
AI ingredient suggestions
AI assistance is optional. When you choose it, the ingredient text you entered is sent to the currently configured AI service provider (the application currently uses Groq’s compatible API) to return drafting suggestions. The request instructs the model not to claim compliance. Check & Chop does not submit other saved kitchen records in that request. Provider processing and retention are governed by our provider arrangements; contact us if you need the current details before using the feature.
Saved records and exports
Submitted kitchen records, labels, authors and timestamps are stored on the service so authorised members of the business can review evidence. Available tools can prepare label output and EHO evidence reports. To request a broader copy, correction or deletion, contact us; we may need to retain some information where required for legal, security or dispute purposes.
Subscription changes
Subscription billing is handled through Stripe. The application stores billing references and synchronised subscription status rather than full card details. If auto-renewal is cancelled, access continues to the current paid period end shown in the billing area. Account-data deletion is a separate request.
